My mission is to support families who choose homeschooling over distance education or boarding school. Speaking from experience, I know what it’s like to home educate in country Australia. I hope by highlighting regional and rural homeschooling, parents will feel a sense of community, even if they live miles away from one.
That is why I have created the Home Education Rural & Remote Discussion Facebook community group. To connect parents, share knowledge, and provide education opportunities for HERRD students.

The best part of homeschooling is learning anywhere at anytime. But if you live regional or rural there are some unique challenges and opportunities. Big distances, shonky internet, and lack of services can be the norm. But geography doesn’t have to stop you!
